In the world of legal battles, here is another brilliant victory that will definitely delight the readers – it’s a victory against the Marriott’s.

This long awaited victory definitely calls for a feeling of joy and even more for the Dutch clients. There were two contracts involved in this legal battle- one being with MVCI Holidays Limited and the other one being MVCI Management  SL. And the main reason behind the celebration of the Dutch clients is that Court No 5 Estepona declined both the contracts with MVCI Management SL and MVCI Holidays Limited and declared them void and invalid.

Moreover the court also demanded that around 112.130€ must be repaid and this takes the case to a whole new edge because the amount is 47.000€ more than what they had originally paid! It was a fantastic result which was not easily predicted by anyone.

In the sentence that was passed, repayment of 47.330€ was demanded by the Judge as for the amounts that were paid on the two different contracts. Apart from this, an additional payment of 64.800€ was demanded considering the deposits that were taken illegally during the statutory cooling off period. Ultimately the total amount awarded to the clients went up to a surprising 112.130€ excluding the interest and legal fees.

Due to the legal precedence considered in cases of illegal deposits taken during the statutory cooling off period according to which the amount repaid needs to be double the amount that was initially paid – the clients received 47.000€ more than what was paid originally.

The Dutch clients definitely deserve congratulations for this brilliant victory.
