Legal battles are intense and even minor victories count. Here is another fantastic news for the German clients which proves that with patience and perseverance, victory can be yours for sure.

The First Instance Court No 8 had recently declared both the contracts to be invalid and void in Marbella. And just two months after the decision, there has been surprising news from Marriott’s side. Marriott has already deposited the entire awarded amount into the court and that too voluntarily!

This came as a somewhat unpredictable piece of news but nonetheless, it was a great win for the clients and the team of lawyers.

When the case was initially taken to the court, all it took for the First Instance Court No 8 in Marbella was a mere 8 months to declare both the contracts of the client with Club Son Atem to be null and void. And according to the Spanish timeshare law and the rulings made by the Supreme Court, an amount of 49.084€ was demanded due to the amount that was paid on the contracts. But this was not all. Apart from that, an additional amount of 32.124€ more than what they had paid initially was also demanded because of the illegal deposit that was taken during the statutory cooling off period.

Ultimately the clients are to receive a total awarded amount of around 81.208€ and some extra amount for interest and legal fees.

As already established, the voluntary payment made by the Marriott’s was done just after 2 months of the first decision made by the court. Which means that the entire legal process took just 10 months to complete!

Heartiest congratulations goes to those German clients for this fantastic victory.
